Trade old kit against new purchases.
Refresh the fleet without two separate transactions. Maxicom values your retiring kit at the same secondary-market reference we use for cash buyback, then applies it as credit against new IT through partner channels - or as combination cash + credit.
What we handle.
Trade-in scenarios:
- ♦ Server refresh - old generation servers traded against current-gen.
- ♦ Storage refresh - legacy SAN / NAS traded against current-gen all-flash.
- ♦ Networking refresh - Cisco / Juniper generation upgrades.
- ♦ Workstation fleet refresh - corporate laptop / desktop programmes (typically 100-5,000 units).
- ♦ AI hardware refresh - older generation accelerators traded against current-gen H100 / B200.
Streamlined workflow.
Trade-in pricing is the same as our cash buyback - no penalty for taking credit instead of cash.
- 1. Asset list + new-purchase spec · Send both - your retirement list and your replacement plan.
- 2. CAD valuation + offer · Trade-in value at standard buyback CAD pricing; cash + credit split agreed.
- 3. Pickup + delivery · Old kit picked up; new kit delivered through our partner channels.
- 4. Settlement + paperwork · Cash portion settled within 5 business days; credit portion applied against new-purchase invoice.
What you get.
- ♦ Single counterparty for refresh + retirement - reduces procurement-cycle complexity.
- ♦ Trade-in priced at full secondary-market CAD value - no "trade-in penalty".
- ♦ Combination cash + credit splits supported.
- ♦ Defensible disposition documentation on the retiring kit.

Maxicom Canada — frequently asked
Which new-IT vendors does the trade-in work with?
We have arrangements with major OEMs (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco) and large resellers. For specific vendor relationships, ask during scope; if your preferred vendor isn't on the active partnership list, we can typically extend the partnership for the engagement.
Cash + credit split - what's typical?
Customer choice. Common splits: 100% credit (full trade-in), 50/50 cash and credit, 30/70 cash-and-credit. Whatever the split, the underlying CAD value is identical to our standard buyback price.
