Material recovery - zero landfill.
What can't be remarketed gets recycled - properly. Maxicom sub-contracts residual material to recyclers holding provincial-program stewardship (EPRA in most provinces, OES in Ontario, RQO in Quebec). You get a downstream-recipient receipt closing the chain.
What we handle.
Residual material from disposition workflows:
- ♦ Non-resaleable hardware that can't be refurbished economically.
- ♦ Failed, water-damaged, or fire-damaged kit.
- ♦ Mixed-class small-form-factor electronics (peripherals, cables, accessories).
- ♦ Asset categories outside our buyback scope.
- ♦ Drives and media destroyed Canada-side post-data-erasure.
Streamlined workflow.
Residual material flows through us to provincial-program-registered recyclers - never direct to landfill.
- 1. Segregation · At intake, non-resaleable material is segregated from refurb-eligible kit.
- 2. Aggregation · Residual is aggregated to commercially efficient pickup volumes for downstream partners.
- 3. Downstream handoff · Material handed to provincial-program-registered recycler under documented manifest.
- 4. Receipt · Downstream-recipient receipt returned to Maxicom; appended to your engagement Certificate.
What you get.
- ♦ Defensible end-of-life path for material that can't be remarketed.
- ♦ Provincial-program alignment (EPRA / OES / RQO depending on province).
- ♦ Downstream-recipient receipt as part of your engagement paperwork.
- ♦ Eliminates the customer-side burden of identifying and qualifying e-waste recyclers.

Maxicom Canada — frequently asked
Are you the recycler, or a broker?
Maxicom is the ITAD prime contractor. Recycling - the physical material-recovery step - is sub-contracted to recyclers holding provincial-program stewardship. We are the discipline, paperwork, and chain-of-custody around the recycler relationship.
Why not handle recycling in-house?
Provincial e-waste recycler licensing is jurisdiction-specific and capital-intensive. The economically rational architecture for an ITAD prime is to specialise in disposition and route residual material to specialist recyclers.
