Safe, certified collection for your IT assets.
Security in transit matters as much as security in storage. Every Maxicom pickup runs on the same discipline: trained two-operator team, GPS-tracked vehicle, tamper-evident container, photo-confirmed transfer at every leg, locked-transit chain-of-custody log delivered with the final Certificate.
What "chain-of-custody" actually means in practice.
Trained logistics professionals - not generic couriers. Pickup teams are Maxicom-employed and trained on IT-asset handling, data-bearing-media protocols, facility-security expectations, and documentation discipline. Two operators per vehicle on every pickup.
GPS-tracked vehicles. Every transit segment is logged with vehicle ID, operator IDs, timestamp, route, and stop history.
Tamper-evident containers. Lockable, numbered, sealed at the customer site, photographed, sealed-at-destination, photographed again. Seal numbers reconciled at intake.
Flexible scheduling. Standard business-hours, after-hours, weekend, and overnight uplift all supported.
Every IT-asset class.
- ♦ Servers, storage arrays, networking kit (rack-mount and tower).
- ♦ Workstations, desktops, laptops, monitors.
- ♦ Components - drives, memory, CPUs, GPUs, NICs, HBAs, power supplies.
- ♦ AI & GPU hardware - palletised for transport-shock protection on high-value cards.
- ♦ Tape libraries, removable media, mobile devices.
- ♦ Mixed-asset lots - surplus, spares, demo, returns - single pickup, single inventory.
Six steps from booking to intake.
- 1. Schedule · Pickup window agreed in the SoW; security clearances and badging arranged 48 hours pre-pickup.
- 2. On-site verification · Two-operator team arrives with asset list; physical inventory cross-checked against list; discrepancies logged.
- 3. Secure packing · Anti-static packing for components; palletisation for rack-mount kit; tamper-evident container sealed and photographed.
- 4. Locked transit · GPS-tracked vehicle; route logged; intermediate stops photographed; ETA notifications to the customer.
- 5. Delivery to facility · Seal integrity verified at the Maxicom intake bay; container opened under camera; intake log started.
- 6. Intake scanning · Per-asset serial scan; condition photos; data-bearing media segregated for destruction queue; pickup paperwork closed.
What you stop having to do.
- ♦ No coordination of generic couriers; no chain-of-custody gaps in transit.
- ♦ No risk of an unbadged third party at your facility.
- ♦ Audit-trail satisfaction for PIPEDA chain-of-custody requirements.
- ♦ Pickup paperwork closes before the vehicle leaves your dock - no end-of-day reconciliation.
- ♦ Integrates with the asset-recovery / destruction workflow as a single bundled engagement.

Maxicom Canada — frequently asked
Do you do same-day pickup?
For Toronto / GTA pickups booked before 10:00 ET, same-day uplift is realistic. For other major cities (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa) next-business-day is standard, with same-day on request for urgent scope.
After-hours and weekend pickups?
Routine - particularly for trading-floor, bank back-office, government, and secured-facility scope where IT must leave outside business hours.
What about cross-border pickups?
We coordinate cross-border (Canada to US under CUSMA) pickup-and-disposition where the destination is a Maxicom-handled facility. Customs documentation, Basel-aware export discipline, and transit insurance handled.
Insurance - what's covered in transit?
Professional indemnity, public liability, and transit insurance - all CAD-denominated. Asset-value coverage by line item if requested. Certificates of insurance issued on DDQ request.
What if a tamper-evident seal is broken in transit?
Triggers an incident report. The vehicle stops, both operators document the seal state with photos and timestamp, the container is re-sealed under photo, the customer is notified within 1 hour. The downstream destruction workflow continues with the incident report attached to the engagement record.
