Sustainable IT disposition with ESG reporting.
Disposition you can put on the sustainability page. Maxicom's Green IT Disposal layer supplements the standard service with ESG / Scope-3 ready reporting, zero-landfill commitment, and a documented downstream chain to provincial-program-registered recyclers.
What we handle.
What the Green IT layer adds:
- ♦ Avoided-emissions calculation - kg CO2e avoided through reuse vs. new manufacture.
- ♦ Material-recovery reporting - kg of metals, plastics, glass recovered per engagement.
- ♦ Landfill-avoidance metric - % of pickup mass that avoided landfill (target: 100%).
- ♦ Refurb-vs-recycle ratio - % of pickup mass that re-entered service vs. material recovery.
- ♦ Annual sustainability summary - roll-up across all engagements for use in your ESG report.
Streamlined workflow.
Layered on top of standard disposition - no separate engagement structure.
- 1. Engagement-level metrics · Each disposition engagement produces sustainability metrics alongside the financial settlement.
- 2. Annual roll-up · All engagements aggregated into an annual sustainability summary.
- 3. ESG-format report · Formatted for inclusion in your annual sustainability / CDP / GRI / ESG reporting.
- 4. Audit-trail backing · Underlying engagement-level data (Certificates, downstream receipts) available to your ESG auditor.
What you get.
- ♦ ESG / Scope-3 metrics on a defensible methodology.
- ♦ Annual sustainability narrative that's actually backed by engagement-level data.
- ♦ Zero-landfill commitment with downstream-receipt evidence.
- ♦ Refurb-vs-recycle ratio tracked - most of our customers achieve 60-80% refurb (re-entered service).

Maxicom Canada — frequently asked
How do you calculate avoided emissions?
We use the standard ITAD avoided-emissions methodology referenced in CDP / GRI guidance - comparing the embodied-carbon footprint of refurbished kit re-entering service against the embodied-carbon of equivalent new manufacture.
Is this compatible with our existing ESG reporting framework?
Most likely yes - the methodology aligns with CDP, GRI, and SASB IT-services-sector guidance. Send your reporting framework specification and we'll confirm fit.
